Earlier this year, Google Maps piloted a feature that allows customers to order groceries for pickup.Google Maps grocery shopping has now expanded to over 2,000 store locations in 30+ states across the United States.Customers can order groceries from Kroger, Fry’s, Ralphs, and Marianos using the feature.
After placing the order, Google Maps will track the order status and allow customers to share their estimated arrival time with the store.According to Google, users of this feature typically wait less than five minutes for their order to be ready for pickup.
Additional Restaurant Information
When customers look up local restaurants on Google Maps, more information is now displayed, all of which is based on information provided by other customers.Customers can now share information about the restaurant’s price ranges and whether it offers amenities such as outdoor seating, delivery, curbside pickup, and more when they leave reviews.
